With its four eating areas, Tingalayo allows you to take breakfast, lunch, dinner and even high tea in a different place each day.
The courtyard of the The Great House is most guests’ favourite for evening meals, as it allows you to dine beneath the stunningly clear, starlit sky.
Whilst the overall feel of the house is distinctly Caribbean, Tingalayo betrays Asian and European influences aplenty. It is decorated and equipped with most fitting of fittings.
Modern, controllable German lighting, A state of the art satellite and sound system and French-designed, Italian made bathroom ware, that provides a most welcome, Stark contrast to the untamed feel of the house’s gardens.
The cool uncluttered bedrooms all boast wonderful verandahs and views.
The Sunset Suite with it’s four poster king bed, verandah and views also has air-conditioning, TV and docking station. With en-suite bathroom and a seperate WC. There is a small deck at the front of the bedroom and a large private deck where the hot tub and the four poster sun bed are located.
The beautifully finished bathrooms have hand made tiles specially imported from Europe.
And the striking Italian-made ceramic basins are the handwork of acclaimed French designer Phillip Stark.
There is also an outside shower area with stunning views of the local beauty spot, Soper's Hole.

A lot of attention went into creating this wonderful cook's kitchen with the highest quality fixtures and fittings. Italian Granite counter tops, Viking cooker with six hobs, two fridges with ice machines, two dishwashers, superb cookware; Calphalon, All-clad and le Creuset.
The Great House Kitchen is light and airy with a stunning view of the ocean.
Tingalayo accommodates up to 12 but is also available at a reduced rate for smaller parties.
There is a maid and gardener from 0730 to 1530 for 5 days a week. Cooking as shopping for daily essentials and laundry can also be arranged. The gardens and two pools are tended throughout the week. Air-conditioned bedrooms. Back up generator. Parking for 10 cars. Nearby Tortola Beef Island Airport serves San Juan, St Thomas, Antigua and St Martin. There is also a daily, 40 minute ferry to and from St. Thomas.
